SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4TH – THIRD SHOW IN SKIEN, NORWAY:

Got up and worked out with the elastic bands again, showered and was in the lobby a little before 11:00 am for the trip from Arendal to Skien.  Short drive today – only 1 ½ hours.  There was a LOT more snow on the road today though as we head farther North.  But, it was a beautiful drive.  Couldn’t take any photos because the van windows are too dirty.

We are staying at another Thon Hotel and this time, I did not get the “family” room with 3 beds.  But it is plenty large enough and the bathroom is about twice the size of the previous hotels.  There’s even a little space to store cosmetics!

We had to drop bags and go straight to sound check.  Everything seemed to go a little smoother today and we were able to finish up pretty close to the two hours allotted.  Again, only had time to change for the show and go back to the venue.  It’s another beautiful theater and completely sold out.  The staff are so nice to work with at all the theaters.  My dear friend Lisa Minge and her partner Alf came to the show.  It was so good to see them after such a long time.

Bellamys got a couple of standing ovations tonight….one in the middle of their show and one at the end of the show.  I went on Facebook Live for over an hour and my arms were numb when I finally was able to lower them!  Had people from all around the world watching and commenting.

We were back at the hotel at around 9 pm and I walked with a couple of the guys up the hill that was covered with frozen snow and ice to an Indian Restaurant for dinner.  The food was great!  The waitress was from Pakistan and said that they had about 90 people come into the restaurant tonight who had all been to or were going to the concert.  There was a piano in the restaurant and she told Mark her favorite song.  He listened to it on his iPhone for a minute and then went to the piano and played it for her!  I told her we were “playing for our dinner” but she charged us anyway.  LOL.  The walk back down the icy hill was not fun.  The only place that wasn’t extremely slippery was in the middle of the road – which was still busy with traffic.  I held onto Mark and pretty much “skated” back to the hotel.  I had visions of us falling, knocking Jim over and all landing in a pile at the hotel which was at the bottom of the hill.

Back in the room to work and now it’s almost 2 am.  Got to get some sleep as we are departing at 9 am and it’s our longest drive of the trip – 4 hours!!!
